The Volkswagen T1
The VW T1 was a legend among the Dortmund breweries – every brewery had several Bullis in the yard! Also at the Hansa brewery. When people talk about Hansa in Dortmund, they are referring to the traditional brewery in Nordstadt. Once independent, it was taken over by DAB in 1971 – today the headquarters are the only one of the former large breweries to remain in the district city and belong to Dr. Oetker’s corporate empire. The former Hansa brewery is located in Dortmund’s Nordstadt not far from Borsigplatz and today serves as the headquarters of the Dortmund Actien brewery, which was taken over by Dortmund’s Hansa in 1971.
