M2 machines writes : Attention all Coca-Cola M2 Machines fans it’s time to quench your thirst for more great themed pieces as the next 1:64th scale Coca-Cola release is about to make its way to market. Release 52500-YR02 delivers a Yellow and Red themed collection of casting. This set is built different than its predecessors as it is 6-piece collection; 3 castings each offered in a standard and chase version. You will find these and other new M2 Machines releases making their way to hobby dealers and retail partners locations next month. Be sure to keep an eye out for the 1953 Beetle Super Chase version of the set.
Quickly following the release of HS01 is release HS02 in the new M2 Machines Hobby Exclusive series (32500-HS02). The set, one standard release and a more elusive chase piece is cast from our 1960 VW Delivery Van. This VW is outfitted with USA bumpers, driver side ladder and roof rack that are all blacked out. Shipping to Walmart distribution centers nationwide this week is an exclusive six casting, nine-piece, Goodyear themed release. All pieces in the series are skinned in a Bright White and Blue two-tone theme and feature the famous Goodyear logo.
All three chases in the collection are recognizable by the Dark Blue chrome bumpers, grill and rims and the super chase of the set stand out of the crowd in its raw form. You will find these and other new M2 Machines releases arriving in Walmart stores nationwide as soon as next week. Scale 1:64.

The 1960 Volkswagen Delivery Van you are about to see is based off a real full-scale piece the Mooneyes brand owns. M2 Machines diecast collectibles continues to deliver “Details Like No Other” as seen right here in the upcoming Auto-Thentics VW06 (32500-VW06) collection. You might remember a similar set that was a Walmart Exclusive Collection a few months back; well this release is the second half of the vehicles used in that advertising campaign. VP of Design and automotive historian Sean Taylor dug deep into the archives of Volkswagen a while back, and found an advertising campaign titled “The Owner’s Viewpoint” which portrayed Volkswagen Delivery Vans as business vehicles showcasing a multitude of uses. Thanks to M2 Machines and Sean Taylor more classic print ad vehicles are coming to life in 3-dimensional diecast as the release is shipping now to our hobby dealers and Retail partners nationwide.

The simplicity of Coca-Cola’s white scripted text on a distinct bright red background was a genius play on the human mind. Color is not just a visual element; it’s also very psychological and can trigger feelings and emotions in the human mind. With Coca-Cola’s marketing team well ahead of its time, back in the 1930’s and still on the road through 1970’s around the world were delivery trucks capturing the eyes of every passer-by with their bright yellow coloring. Rolling billboards letting everyone know that Coca-Cola was here at a time when color print advertising was extremely expensive, television was just being developed and the internet was decades away.
